Our heartiest pranam and shradhanjali for the 100th Birthday celebration. My Motamama was the Best, Best & the Best. He had a mesmerizing personality, very kind, loving & generous family man. He has been very much admired by his family, friends, co-workers, patient and students. We had spent numerous summer vacation in Ahmedabad at mama’s house. Chandramami & mama had always welcomed us open-heartedly with full of enthusiasms, taking us out for a car ride, visiting the park, ice cream shops or purchasing toys or clothes. He was always full of energy, even with his busy clinic schedules. In 1970 I went to India with my son Sunjay, just a 1&1/2 yrs old boy, Motamama came to visit us in Baroda & we went Ahmedabad in his car. That time the way he played & entertain Sunjay all the way. Next evening he came home from the clinic with a sack full of toys for Sunjay. That is just an unforgettable memory for us. I used to give examples of Motamama to my children about his medical and social help to anybody. He was a pioneer and first person to go to England to study medicine from our community. He received FRCS degree. After coming back, he became one of the best heart surgeons in all over Gujarat.
He was truly a dedicated family man. In the year 1957, my mom Pushpaben got sick with a constant bad headache. He tried out several different treatments but not able to cure a headache. Motamama had insisted on taking Pushpaben for further diagnostic treatment to Bombay or even England. His love for family members was enormous. With God’s grace, the treatment in Baroda under supervision of Motamama worked very well and my mom Pushpaben became normal. After that, she never had complained about a headache.
Our heartiest Pranam to our beloved Motamama, Dr Jayantbhai Haribhakti on his 100th Birth Anniversary.
